The dance of receiving and releasing: Autumn's offering

As the leaves begin to make their way back to the earth during this fall, transitional season here in my neck of the woods, it brings me to a place of attunement to what’s falling away within me.

It’s an interesting parallel, this shedding process, because it's happening alongside a time of great harvest within the seasonal year too.

The shedding process, reflected in the colorful leaves, releases that which is meant to return to the earth; those things within me that no longer serve me or my path and are ready to be repurposed as something new. While, on the other hand, the harvest process offers me an opportunity to look and see what fruit has been born from all that I've spiritually planted; to acknowledge and celebrate what has grown, to sink my teeth into the juicy goodness that overflows from this abundance, and allow it to fortify me for the cycle ahead.

This dance of releasing & receiving feels so poignant; complementary, really. It’s as if the gentle shedding helps to clear away that which is veiling my spiritual view. It serves to better highlight and show me the abundance of my own growth; to clear away debris that might be getting in the way of that. Just like in this image, as the one layer becomes more barren, the other becomes more clear; ultimately bringing me a little closer to the deeper layers of my soul’s own knowing.

This transitional time of year is so special. It’s my prayer that however it is showing up for you that you both release and receive in the exact way that you need to and in the exact way that you’re uniquely guided to.

With love for our collective healing.
